Recently, a herder discovered a snow leopard in Pondo Town of Lhunzhunb County, Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, and contacted the Forestry and Grassland Bureau for help. Snow leopards are listed as grade one protected animals in China.

After hearing this news, workers of the local forestry and grassland bureau came and saw that the snow leopard with a weak body couldn't survive independently in the wild. Therefore, it was taken to Chushur Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Center for treatment.

This one-month-old baby snow leopard was 60 centimeters long and weighted 2.5 kg. Although it didn't have any trauma, this cub couldn't defecate. The breeder gave it treatment immediately and fed it milk.

According to the regional forestry and grassland bureau, Tibet is home to 2,700 snow leopards. Among them, 380 are scattered on the mountains at the upstream of the Nujiang River, and 760 in Nagri of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
