With the deepening of the reform of government functions, substantial progress has been made in improving Tibet's business environment and developing non-public economy. By the end of 2018, the number of Tibet's market entities of non-public economy has reached 264,600, accounting for 96.44% of the total market entities in the whole region, with an increase of 21.24% year-on-year. Nowadays, non-public economy in Tibet has become an important force to promote the economic and social development, an important source of increasing local fiscal revenue, and an important carrier to expand employment.
