On December 10, 2019, the 13th Livestock Products Fair was opened in Nagqu City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, lasting for 5 days at the farmers market in local logistics park. 215 farmers & herdsmen's economic cooperation organizations and 23 agricultural, animal husbandry and Tibetan medicine enterprises from 78 villages & towns all around Nagqu participated. Beef, mutton, milk dregs, ghee, cordyceps sinensis, fritillary and some featured ethnic handicrafts were displayed on over 470 stalls, attracting many buyers.

"This is the 3rd time that I participate in the livestock products fair, which helps me increase a lot of income by selling beef. I sold 177.5 kg of beef within 10 minutes after setting up my stall. What a wonderful fair!" Says Supa Qula, a villager from Daglung Village, Seqed Town of Nyainrong County.

"We are from a cooperative in Diru Village, Boqe Towns of Bangoin County. The fair has further expanded our sales channels, with considerable sales volume of beef and mutton," Wangchug, a worker of the cooperative says, "relevant policy is very good, the government not only affords our travel expenses from Bangoin County to Nagqu City, but also gives us subsidies according to the sales amount of cattle and sheep."

According to the person in charge of the fair, Nagqu is now in the decisive period of accelerating industrialized development of animal husbandry and completing a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Holding the fair can further boost the transformation of development mode of local animal husbandry, increase farmers and herdsmen's income, and expand popularity and brand influence of local livestock products.
