In recent years, an animal husbandry demonstration base in Seni District of Nagqu City has taken the deep processing of dairy products as the core, and also engaged in animal breeding, artificial grass planting and experimental planting of cash crops. Among them, artificially planted grass is not only reserved for disaster prevention in the base, but also partly sold to villages and towns.

In 2018, the area of artificial grass planting in the base has reached 3.759 km², and the output of hay has reached 502 tons, with a total output value of 2.08 million yuan RMB. In 2019, it is planned to plant 4.026 km² of artificial grass and 0.133 km² of cash crops including green wheat straws, potatoes, common turnips, radishes, cabbages and so on.
