Lhunzhub County popularizes yak fattening technology

To enhance yak fattening technology, cultivate technical and managerial leaders in animal husbandry, boost rural revitalization, and drive farmers and herdsmen to increase their income and become rich, recently, the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Lhunzhub County, Lhasa City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has invited Phuntsog Dradul, who is an expert from the Institute of Animal Husbandry of Tibet Autonomous Region Academy of Agricultural Sciences, to carry out the yak fattening technology training, with 100 farmers and herdsmen taking part in.

During the training, through the combination of the county's actual situation of yak breeding, and by combining theory with practice, Phuntsog Dradul has explained relevant knowledge on prevention and control of major animal diseases including common diseases, infectious diseases, parasitic diseases, and echinococcosis, the using of conventional vaccines, yak breeding and fattening and so on.

Through this training, farmers and herdsmen in Lhunzhub County have better mastered the practical technology of yak breeding and fattening, which has laid a solid foundation for further changing farmers and herdsmen's concept of breeding and production and improving the quality of agricultural and livestock products.
