“Sanyou Village” in Lhasa

"Sanyou Village" is located next to the railway station in Quxu County, Lhasa City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. It is a relocated village for poverty alleviation. To let the villagers own houses, industries and health, the relocation point is made in accordance with integrated planning. To enhance thepublic service level, public facilities including water, electricity, roads, telecommunications, kindergartens, stores, street lamps and so on are constructed. To increase industry support, a series of projects such as Tibetan chicken breeding, cow breeding, herbs and grass planting are carried out. At present, 184 households and 712 poverty-stricken people from 10 villages in 3 towns in Quxu County have moved to "Sanyou Village", starting a new life.
