Question 1: What about the adding endorsement seal?

Response: It is mainly for the Buddhist activities of Ngari Prefecture in 2014. If the fronter pass, within the valid range, is handled in this year and in the domicile place, it can be used with the identification card without the endorsement seal.

Question 2: Dose the fronter pass has the age limit?

Response: The Chinese citizen age to 16 has to handle the fronter pass if he comes to the frontier area. Children under 16 years of age need to be with their legal guardians.

Question 3: How long is the fronter pass valid?

Response: according to the stipulation of “the Fronter Pass Management of P.R.China”, it is valid for a maximum of 3 months. However, the expiration date can be extended to at most 6 months for the people from various units assigned to the villages.

Question 4: What kind of formalities needs to be gone through if the assigned registering person is changed?

Response: All units and traveling agencies have to hand over a description of the situation about the changing of assigned registering person.

At last, it is emphasized that there will be no charge for the fronter pass. At present, the Tibetan border corps process the fronter pass 365 days a year.
