Traditional Tibetan New Year falls on Feb. 9 this year. Many travel agencies in Tibet introduce Tibetan New Year experience tour routes for tourists to enjoy new year.

Tibetan New Year, known as "Losar" in Tibetan language, is the most solemn Tibetan festival with the most folk-customs. During the festival, various folk activities will be held among Tibetans.
