On August 26, the 15th Mount Qomolangma Cultural Tourism Festival was kicked off in Shigatse City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

This festival aims to propagandize and display Shigatse, build the tourism cultural core area and characteristic cultural inheritance area, and highlight Shigatse's important position as the forward position of South Asia Channel. In addition, it comprehensively shows the stable results of Shigatse City's reform and development as well as its profound cultural deposits.

During the 7-day festival, a series of activities such as artistic performance, Tibetan opera performance, and investment promotion are held, winning unanimous praise of domestic and foreign tourists and the general public.
