Lhasa Konggar Airport is the only airport that has international routes in Tibet, playing an important role in promoting economic development, national unity, and social stability. The earth-rock engineering and station site engineering of the reconstruction and extension project of Lhasa Konggar Airport have already started construction. In accordance with the planning scheme, it is expected to handle 9 million passengers in 2025 and the cargo throughput can reach 80000 tons. Terminal 3 will be newly built with an area of about 88000 square meters.
