Dama means horse-racing and arrow-shooting in Tibetan, and the festival is peculiar to Gyangze County, with a history of more than 600 years. During the festival, a series of traditional ethnic sports and cultural activities such as horse racing, horseback archery, stone carrying, art performances and so on will be held.
