2019 China Lhasa Shoton Festival, bearing the theme of "Happy China Shoton, Beautiful Lhasa", will be held in Lhasa City, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, from Aug. 30 to Sep. 5, according to the 2019 China Lhasa Shoton Festival Press Conference.

Yang Nianhua, deputy secretary-general of Lhasa Municipal People's Government, says that nine activities will be organized during this year's Shoton Festival, including 13th Lhasa Namtso Trekking Contest, Unfolding of Buddha Paintings, Tibetan Opera Performance, Opening Ceremony, Tibetan Costume Exhibition, Investment Promotion & Singing Ceremony, Traditional Horse Performance, Tibetan Chess Performance and Famous & Excellent Commodities Fair. Currently, the preparation work of Shoton Festival goes well.
