Reducing white pollution is one of the major concerns of Lhasa citizens and the government, thus the Environmental Protection Office of Lhasa，the capital city of China’s Tibet Autonomous Region decides to distribute 420,000 reusable bags to citizens in this year, the fund applying is being planned, according to Samkhar Lhamo, a local cadre who works on the white pollution reducing.

To cut down the usage of plastic bags, 210,000 plastic bags have been given out to citizens since September of 2014.Supervisions and inspections on plastic bags using are launched at super markets and vegetable markets; propagandas on environmental protection knowledge have been held in crowded public places in the city, too.
