Lhasa has good air quality from January to September

Recently, the air quality conditions in September and from January to September in 2018 have been released by the Ministry of Ecological Environment, including the list of the top 20 and bottom 20 cities of 169 key cities in September. Neijiang, Haikou, Lhasa and other cities have relatively good air quality, among which Lhasa ranks the third.

The air quality report of Lhasa city in the third quarter of 2018 shows that the effective days for environmental air quality monitoring are 91 days, of which 71 days are excellent and 20 days are good. From January to September, there are 273 effective days for environmental air quality monitoring in Lhasa, 85 days for excellent air quality, 181 days for good air quality, and 7 days for light pollution. The rate of excellent and good air quality was 97.4%.

A responsible person of related department of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Lhasa City says, "according to the data released by Ministry of Ecological Environment, the average proportion of good air quality days in 338 cities at or above the prefecture level was 90.8% in September, 2018, up 2.6% year-on-year. From January to September, the average proportion of good air quality days was 81.0%, up 1.3% year-on-year. Statistics show that the number of days with good air quality in Lhasa is significantly higher than other cities."

In July, 2018, there are 19 days with excellent air quality and 13 days with good air quality. The rate of excellent and good air quality was 100%. In August, there are 26 days with excellent air quality and 5 days with good air quality. The rate of excellent and good air quality was 100%.
