Green development is one of the important connotations of new development concept. It emphasizes efficiency, quality, harmony and sustainability as the goals of economic and social development. Nowadays, natural harmony, greenization and ecologicalization have become the core values of green development. For southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, green development has been converted to an important measure to effectively break through the constraints of natural environment, solve the ecological problems in economic development and realize a better life.

Green development is the inevitable requirement for achieving high-quality economic development. Relevant departments have implemented the concept, realized industrial transformation and upgrading to take the road of high-quality development in Tibet. Nowadays, people's demand for ecology, safety, health and a good life has become a new trend. Tibet has also speeded up the transformation of economic development, vigorously developed energy-saving and environmental protection industries, cultivated green service industries to upgrade traditional ones, improve economic efficiency and ecological benefits, which has greatly promoted the industrial development from the middle and low-end to the high-end.
