Tibetan energy to enter a new period

By Liu Fang Hu Wen Source:China Tibet News 2018-12-21

There is a photovoltaic power station in Jomda County of Qamdo City, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. The power station is generally composed of two colors, the black part is composed of monocrystalline silicon solar cell module and the blue part is composed of polycrystalline silicon solar cell module. Using the chromatic aberration of solar panels, the power station presents black and blue effect. Looking down from the air, the whole power station is a shape of giant panda. The photovoltaic power station has been put into use in Chamdo City by Tibet Zangneng Co. Ltd. a subsidiary of Panda Green Energy Group Limited. This new power station breaks through the previous one-sided construction, and shows the concepts of photovoltaic power station and clean energy in a more approachable way to the public, which gives people a new understanding of energy production and utilization.

In addition to this panda photovoltaic power station, in 2012, Tibet Zangneng Co. Ltd. has found Tibet's new energy market and invested 1 billion yuan (more than 145 billion US dollars). It has become a state-controlled mixed enterprise specializing in clean energy investment, development, construction and operation, and has accelerated the advantageous industries in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. In 2013, in order to implement the Decision of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, which calls for the "power system reform to break power monopoly and develop mixed ownership economy", southwest China's Tibet autonomous region government, on the basis of state-owned capital holding by the government, has introduced the specialized electric power development companies, and applied advanced enterprise management concepts and operations to further develop clean energy in Tibet.

The first business started in Ganzi of Sichuan Province. Later, Zangneng's business gradually expanded toward many areas in Tibet. In order to meet currently developing needs, the company adheres to the goal of "improving quality and increasing efficiency" in the light of international and domestic energy and economic development situation, carefully analyses and summarizes the achievements and experience, and pushes forward the preliminary work of Hydropower.
