Damxung County creates characteristic tourism circle

By improving tourism service level, exploring tourism market and strengthening infrastructure construction in 2014, the tourism industry in Damxung County develops steadily and healthly. Statistics show that the annual ticket revenue of Namtso scenic area is expected to reach 61 million yuan RMB, up 12% year on year. It can receive 712500 tourists, up 42.5%.

Strengthen infrastructure construction. With an investment of 200 million yuan RMB, the preparatory work of Namtso Comprehensive Service Area's supporting facilities has been completed and the whole project is expected to be completed by 2017.With an investment of 550 million yuan RMB, the Yambajan Hot Spring Agricultural Ecological Tourism project has completed 45% of the total quantity and it is expected to be put into use on July 1, 2016. Apart from these, a series of other projects also run well.

Promote tourism propaganda. By taking advantage of internet, news medias, banners, albums, LED and other methods, various forms of propaganda activities are carried out in Damxung County. In 2014, about 30 banners and 9000 copies of propaganda materials were handed out. In addition, 10000 on-site consultations were held.

Improve tourism market environment. With a special fund of 100000 yuan RMB, 154 illegal passenger vehicles are cleaned up and the tourism order is gradually standardized.

Improve tourism service quality. To improve the tourism service quality and ensure tourists' satisfaction, tourism workers' trainings are strengthened and their service abilities are improved. In addition, tourism management rules and regulations are improved. What's more, tourism hotline is open to public and 24-hour duty system is established.
