Tibet: 24 scenic spots commit to maintain original ticket price in 3 years

Recent days, the National Tourism Administration has officially announced the list of China’s first batch of scenic spots with trustworthy tourist price, the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon, Basum Lake, Legpo Valley, Pangong Lake, as well as other 20 scenic spots of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) were included in the list.

According to the official introduction, since March of 2015, the National Tourism Administration has carried out a 3 year long project on evaluating scenic spots with trustworthy tourist price within the whole county to further deepen the price management reform on scenic spots tickets. A few days ago, the list of first batch of scenic spots with trustworthy tourist price consisting of 1801 scenic spots all over the country has been announced, among which 4 4A scenic spots, 13 3A spots, 3 2A spots and 4 A spots of TAR were included.

The 24 listed scenic spots in TAR have signed the letter of commitment on ticket price maintaining and preferential policy on the aged and disabled, youngsters, students, as well as soldiers; to protect the legitimate rights and interests of tourists, these spots have also committed favorable price for appointed tickets and no price rose in 3 years.
