300 tourists arrive at Lhasa of Tibet

It is reported that 300 tourists who participated in visiting Lhasa in winter arrived at Lhasa, the capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, on Oct 28, which was supported by Tibet Huanqiu Travel Agency, Guangzhou Zhongshan TV Station and other medias. 

Tourists in this activity will stay in Lhasa for five days. During that period, they will have opportunities in visiting the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Monastery, Zaki Temple, Tibet Museum and other scenic spots. 

Tourism Bureau of Lhasa launches a series of high-quality winter tourism programs, such as experiencing unique Tibetan customs, enjoying geothermal hot spring, going to Sijin Lhatso.

Pulling suitcases, those tourists spending 53 hours on the train were talking with their companions happily. They are travel enthusiasts coming from cities of Pearl River Delta, people of travel agency and media, among whom the oldest is 72 years old, the youngest is only 17 years old. They will stay in Lhasa for five days. During that period, they will have opportunities in visiting the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Monastery, Zaki Temple, Tibet Museum and other scenic spots. 

Besides, those tourists also will take part in a public event of education that initiates tourists to prepare some books and stationery for children and schools along the road.

As the winter comes, tourism entered the low season when the tickets will be half priced.  Low season starting from Dec 1 to next Apr 30 sell the low-season ticket which will be half priced. Besides, prices of some hotels also will give a 40 percent or 60 percent discount.
