It is reported that recently, the application for the climbing activity of Mt. Qomolangma’s north-slope begins, which will last till Dec. 27 of 2015. There will be 18 mountaineers for this activity.
It is reported that this climbing activity will start from April of 2016, lasting 45 days to May. The entire activity costs 330 thousand yuan ( 51,824 U.S. Dollars), including accommodation, health care, guide, alpine oxygen, registration, camp facilities, ticket of the spot, registration, environmental protection and other services, except the personal expenses. Besides, the deposit is 30 percent of the whole expense.
Seated along the border of China and Nepal, Mt. Qomolangma, the highest peak in the world, is known in the west as Mt. Everest. It has become one of the most popular destinations for backpackers and mountaineers. The north climbing route of the peak is in southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, while the south slope is in Nepal. On May 25th, 1960, three Chinese mountaineers successfully climbed onto the Mt. Qomolangma from its north slope.
