It is reported that Ngari, a prefecture of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, proposed 41 region-level ecological villages and 1 ecological town.

With the implementation of the environmental protection project of centralized drinking water resources this year, Ngari Prefecture completed the drinking water resources’ protection work in Rutog County, Burang County and Shiquanhe Town. Besides, the research work of drinking water resources in farm and pastoral areas of Ngari Prefecture has been done.

In addition, environmental protection department carried out inspections for environmental protection in seven counties. The construction of 3 main roads in Ngari Prefecture, 4 mineral resources exploration companies, 2 tourist scenic spots, 20 water drinking resources protection areas were also inspected.
