It is reported form Xinhua that Tibet Ancient Culture and Arts Research Institute was formed in Lhasa, the capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, on Dec 28th. This institute mainly mean to attract more folk professionals to take part in researching and promoting the protection of ancient culture and arts of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. 

From Nov 29th to Dec 3rd, more than hundred pieces of Tibetan ancient cultural collections are on display in Tibet Museum. All those Tibetan collections are provided by members of new-formed Tibet Ancient Culture and Arts Research Institute and Tibet Collectors Institute.

Changguan He, president of Tibet Ancient Culture and Arts Research Institute, said that with the compatibility of Yunnan culture, Buddhist culture, mid-Asian culture and western culture, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau’s ancient culture and arts, combing Chinese culture and ancient Indian culture, is unique and special. Tibet Ancient Culture and Arts Research Institute will attract more people to focus on Tibetan ancient culture and arts and do some research on these art resources. 

Tibet Ancient Culture and Arts Research Institute builds the gallery, literal pool and reading platform by digitization, which is convenient for art lovers and scholars from both home and abroad to know the latest research results of Tibetan art. Besides, through regular forums and trains of Tibetan ancient culture and arts, more people will know, love, protect and inherit Tibetan culture and arts, promoting the development and prosperity of Tibetan cultural industry.
