It is reported on Jan. 11 that the Weather Service System of Mt. Qomolangma has been completed and put into operation. It provides tourists traveling to Mt. Qomolangma and climbing team with professional weather services.

This weather system, the new project supported by the Meteorological Bureau of Shigatse, covers three-day weather forecast in Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp, hourly weather information, real-time photos of Mt. Qomolangma and weather alerts along the road from Dingri County to Mt. Qomolangma. With virtual show and weather forecast, tourists could know the latest weather information of Mt. Qomolangma.
