It is reported from Rutog County, Ngari Prefecture of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region that in 13th Five-Year Plan, Rutog County, enjoying rich tourism resources and its geographical advantages, gives attractions proper distribution and reconstruction. Among those projects, Pangong Tso scenic region will be upgraded into the national AAAAA tourist spot and become a high-end ecotourism line.

Pangong Tso, 12 kilometers northwest away from Rutog County, is the world’s highest bird island.

Thanks to help by the aiding-Tibet team from Heibei Province, Rutog County takes advantage of its unique tourism resources and constantly develops tourist industry. In three years, with an investment of 100 million yuan, Rutog County implemented projects of some tourist spots such as Pangong Tso scenic region, Rutog cliff painting and Derub Resort. Besides, various tourist activities were held, promoting diversified development of tourist industry in Rutog County.
