It is reported from Scientific Association of Tibet Autonomous Region that science museums will be build in middle schools of rural areas, covering 74 counties (districts) in the region.

In this project starting from 2014, 58 science museums had been  completed within two years. Besides, with aid-Tibet funds, prefectures except Lhasa and Qamdo bought mobile science museums, providing rich resources for the young to learn.

Every science museum has been poured into 200,000 yuan (30,400 U.S. dollars). Based on the present conditions of middle schools in rural areas, the museum will provide 1,000 books concerning science and technology, scientific exhibits, students’ creative works of science and technology, multimedia projectors and other interesting items.

Recent years have witnessed scientific & technical progress that promotes the development of local economy and society. In the future, the investment for science and technology will still increase to strengthen the publicity of science popularization.
