The Spring Festival Rush of 2016, lasting for 40 days, comes to an end on Mar. 3. During this period, Qinghai-Tibet Railway accomplished 1.28 million trips, among which about 32,000 were made each day, accomplishing an increase of 4.4 percent compared with last year, and hitting a record high in journeys made by Qinghai-Tibet Railway during Spring Festival Rush.
On Feb. 27th, 42,700 people traveled by Qinghai-Tibet Railway, which reached a record in journeys made by Qinghai-Tibet Railway during Spring Festival Rush in a single day.

During the period of Spring Festival Rush, 139 extra trains were put into service, among which there are 116 high-speed railway trains. Besides, train tickets are available online, by phone, at railway stations and ticket offices. The tickets are released 60 days in advance online and by phone, and 58 days ahead of departure date at railway stations and ticket offices. The number of ticket booth and ticket vending machine has reached 191, a year-on-year increase of 76.
