According to the draft outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020), Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the second railway connecting Tibet with other parts of the country, has been listed as one of the key projects. The railway will link Lhasa, capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region and Sichuan Province's Chengdu located in southwest China. Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway that is one part of Sichuan-Tibet Railway extends from Lhasa to Nyingchi, southeastern part of China's Tibet Autonomous Region. With the total length of 435 kilometers, Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway has started construction on December of 2014.

Since the beginning of construction, workers overcome the difficulties and speed up the building of Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway. Currently, as spring approaches, the construction of Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway is in full swing.
