Lhasa and Nyingchi to be first all-region tourist demonstrations

It is reported from the Tourism Development Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region that currently, Tibet's Lhasa and Nyingchi are put into China's first all-region tourist demonstrations. Since 2016, tourism sectors in Tibet will accelerated the upgrading of tourism infrastructures and gradually realize landscaping in all region.

Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, is famous for Potala Palace, Barkhor Street and Lhasa River. With a long history of culture and rich natural resources, Lhasa becomes an important destination for tourists from both home and abroad. Nyingchi, know as “The Swiss of Tibet”, enjoys primeval forest and picturesque glaciers. It is also listed as Tibet’s eco-tourism demonstrations.

In this year, Lhasa and Nyingchi will decentralize the approval of travel agency, actively foster new consumption growth areas and set up special tourism products such as rural tourism, cultural tourism, recreation vehicle traveling and others.

Moreover, Tibet will accelerate the construction of tourism infrastructures and tourist rescue system and promote the development of "Tourism Plus Internet",  "Tourism Plus Culture" and "Tourism Plus Spots". Tibet will gradually realize "personal tour ordering service", which meets the demands from different tourists.

For example, Metok County, Nyingchi of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, adopts the mode of "personal tour ordering service". Every year, the number of tourists is controlled, making high-end tourism products. Besides, on the basis of protecting original ecology in scenic spot, Metok County also promotes the development of all-region tourism.
