It is reported from Tibet Airlines that Himalaya Airlines, a China-Nepal joint-venture company, will start the first flight in April this year.
China-made aircraft was delivered to Nepal Airlines in 2014 when Himalaya Airlines was set up. Himalaya Airlines will introduce three A320 aircrafts.
After five years, there will be 15 aircrafts owned by Himalaya Airlines, which can start new flights linking Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe with Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. These International flights will contribute to boosting the trade between China's Tibet and places in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe and Nepal. Besides, they also promote the development of tourism and accelerate Tibet's construction of world’s top destination.
