It is reported that Lhasa's Tourism Administration held 2016 "Lhasa's most beautiful villages" tourism promotion in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, on April 8.

This year, Lhasa will focus on building five tourism demonstration villages and creating two tour lines.

Lhasa makes rational use of villages' resources and builds distinctive rural tourism products in terms of reception, catering and recreation in recent years. In tourism resource rich areas, rural family inns, Tibetan family inns and other rural tourism products achieved great development, providing a good leisure place for tourists. Thanks to the rapid development of Lhasa's tourism industry, especially tourism infrastructures in rural areas, an increasing number of tourists travel to Lhasa for experiencing unique Tibetan rural life.

Moreover, Lhasa's Tourism Administration will develop two unique tour lines: Lhasa-Tohlung Dechen-Damshung-Lhundrup-Medrogungkar, Lhasa-Chushur-Nyemo-Damshung-Lhundrup-Medrogungkar, and build RV camps, motels, distinctive posts and other infrastructures. Following the aim of constructing intelligent tourism city, Lhasa carries out the first phase of intelligent tourism information project. In key scenic spots and along national roads, 10 standard tourism toilets will be build. These two tour lines covering Namtso, Thonpa scenic spot and other famous attractions will become new highlights in Lhasa's tourism industry.
