It is reported that until the end of March, Tibet’s Civil Aviation Bureau handled 8,386 takeoffs and landings, and a combined 5,466 tons of cargo and mail, up 12.7 percent and 10 percent respectively. Besides, the passenger throughput of Tibet’s Civil Aviation Bureau reached 795,360, a year-on-year growth of 17.1 percent.
From Mar. 27 to Oct. 29, Tibet’s Civil Aviation Bureau will carry out 2016 summer and autumn flight schedule. During that time, five airports (Gonggar Airport, Bamda Airport, Mainling Airport, Gunsa Airport, Heping Airport) in Tibet will operate 417 flights per week, an increase of 34.5 percent than the same period of last year.
In the first quarter of 2016, Tibet’s Civil Aviation Bureau arranged work properly, improved the capacity of public service and made preparations for the next flight schedule.
