Nyingchi will accelerate the construction of International eco-tourism zone and strive to build Basomtso scenic site into national 5A scenic spot this year.

In recent years, Nyingchi has focused on party building, publicizing, market supervision and public services, and carried out the construction of eco-tourism scenic spots' cluster and rural tourism, which promotes the development of Nyingchi's tourism. Besides, Nyingchi also strengthens the supervision for scenic spots, star hotels, rural tourism and family inns, promoting the stable and scientific development of tourism.

Nyingchi, know as the "Swiss of Tibet", enjoys primeval forest and picturesque glaciers. It is also listed as Tibet's eco-tourism demonstrations. There are a number of famous scenic spots such as Basomtso scenic spot, Yarlung Tsangpo Canyon and Nanyigou.
