It is reported from Namtso scenic spot that as weather warms up, Namtso, located in Damshung County of Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, begins to thaw, meaning the coming of travel season.
Namtso, the highest salt water lake in the world, is also called "the lake in the heaven". Namtso national park occupies an area of 1.06 million hectares, including Bird Island, Yangpachen Geotherm and other scenic spots.
Every year, Namtso frozes in November and thaws in May. Summer is the best season to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Namtso. Because of high altitude and low temperature at Namtso, tourists need to wear thick jackets and take sunglasses.
