It is reported that during the period of 13th Five-Year Plan, Tibet will build Ya’nga-Nyingchi railway, Shigatse-Gyirong railway, Shigatse-Yadong railway and other railroads. The total length of these new railways will reach 2,000 km. The whole investment is 160 billion yuan(about 24.5 billion U.S. dollars). In addition, Tibet will also do the preliminary study on Yunnan-Tibet railway and Xinjiang-Tibet railway.
