With the coming of Tibet's tourism peak season, an increasing number of tourists come to Shigatse for sightseeing. Shigatse, located in southwest of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is known for Mt. Qomolangma, Tashilhunpo Monastery and other famous attractions. Besides, the Lhasa-Shigatse railway that has already come into service promotes the development of tourism industry.
