Lhasa Railway Station saw record number of passengers during National Day holiday

According to statistics, during the seven-day National Day holiday, Lhasa Railway Station sent more than 45,830 passengers, with the daily number of 6,547. About 43,370 people took the train to Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, on the Golden Week from Oct. 1 to Oct. 7 .

Since Sept. 30, the number of passengers had begun to increase. Golden Week saw the peak number of people at Lhasa Railway Station, according to authorities with Lhasa Railway Station.

Starting from Oct. 15, train ticks leaving Tibet become more abundant. However, train tickets to Chengdu and Chongqing also are in short supply. 12306 railway service center states that tickets are available 60 days in advance online or by telephone, 58 days ahead of departure date at ticket outlets.
