It is reported on Oct. 18 that the ceremony of joining nationwide IC card interconnection platform was launched in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, which means that Tibet IC traffic card has already become compatible nationwide. At the end of 2016, Tibet IC traffic card will be compatible among 100 cities in China, including Beijing and Tianjing. That will promote the development of Tibet's regional economic integration and tourism industry.

At the Tibet IC traffic card application service zone, IC card workers introduce the knowledge of how to use IC card to citizens through operations. Some IC cards with Tibetan characteristics are interesting and appealing. Alien registration card and bracelet watch are issued so as to respond to the demand of market, which are quite fashionable and consist with citizens' consumption habits.

IC traffic card is also compatible for taxis and buses, making life easier for commuters. Besides, it also will push forward the construction of urban intelligent public transportation system. With only one rechargeable card, commuters can travel to Lhasa, Nyingchi, Shannan and other places.

Tibet IC traffic card can now be used in over 40 inland cities. At the moment, Lhasa begins to test the use of IC traffic card in the selected route-No 18. It is estimated that Lhasa IC traffic card will cover all routes in Lhasa at the end of this year. Citizens can take bus or taxi with only one card.
