According to Lhasa Railway Station, train tickets are available 30 days in advance online or by telephone after Dec. 30.

At the moment, semi cushioned berth tickets from Lhasa to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Sichuan and Chongqing are still hard to get. Passengers are mainly for business and traveling. Now, it is the peak time for passenger transport. The 2017 Spring Festival is in the late January, earlier than that of last year. It is predicted that there will be a high passenger flow from Tibet from the end of December to the late January.

If a passenger wants to buy the ticket of Jan. 27, he needs to book the ticket at the end of December. If he wants to purchase the ticket of Jan.1, he could get it at the beginning of December.

For the safety travel, Lhasa Railway Station arranges workers at entrance of the railway station, offering help for passengers with large packages.
