According to the data, in the period of 12th Five-Year Plan, Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, poured 2.723 billion yuan into road construction, a year-on-year increase of 70 percent. The total length of road network reached 4,129 km, an increase of 1,249 km compared with that of 11th Five-Year Plan. By the end of 2015, 3,148 km of roads had been built in Lhasa’s rural areas. All villages have access to the road.
A series of key transport projects including Lhasa-Shigatse Railway, Lhasa segment of Lhasa-Nyingchi High Grade Road and Ngachen Bridge have been put into operation. The infrastructure of Lhasa’s comprehensive transport becomes more complete.
