Recently, Zhoushu, director of Tourism Bureau of Ngari, said that during the period of 13th Five-Year Plan, Ngari will focus on the construction of Gangdise International tourism cooperation zone.

Gangdise International tourism cooperation zone will include Tulin scenic spot of Guge and Pangong Tso Lake, and expand along China National Highway 219. Besides, it also will carry out pilot viewing activity of wild animal protection in Changtang Nature Reserve.

Gangdise International tourism cooperation zone mainly covers Ngari Prefecture, Shigatse and Shannan. In terms of international cooperation, it will extend to the surrounding areas such as India and Nepal.
