According to tourism sector of Lhasa City, in the first quarter of this year, Lhasa City accumulatively received 665400 tourists at home and abroad, a year-on-year increase of 5.97%. It realized a tourism revenue of 929 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.72%. Under the support of municipal committee and municipal government, the tourism economy of Lhasa City develops stably and healthily.

In the first quarter, Lhasa has many festivals and holidays. Tourists reception volume and tourism revenue were all greatly improved than last year. At the same time, since the beginning of this year, tourism sector of Lhasa City has carried out a series of tourism security checks, market management, and other related work. Therefore, the tourism industry presents vigorousdevelopment situation.

Next, tourism sector of Lhasa City will optimize the environment of tourism market in an all-round way, and improve the quality of tourism service. In addition, it will positively promote tourism standardization construction, accelerate the  standardization construction of tourism service industry, and strengthen supervision work and law enforcement degree of tourism safety.
