To build the tourism brand of Chengguan District, Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region and create Chengguan District as the core area of Tibetan ethnic cultural tourism, the Tourism Bureau of Chengguan District spares no effort to develop tourism industry. Therefore, the tourism industry maintains strong growth momentum and its quality is improved gradually.
Last year, the tourism revenue of Chengguan District was 10.162 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.6%. It received 13.2896 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%. The 1st Peach Blossom Cultural Festival, Raspberry Pick-up Festival, walking assembly, and the 2nd Nectarine Pick-up Festival were successfully held.
In 2017, to realize the goal of building the international tourist and cultural city, Chengguan District continuously perfects the function layout of tourist areas and the developmental structure of featured leisure blocks. In addition, it coordinates the development of urban and rural tourism and tries to build the tourism development demonstration zone.
Besides, Chengguan District strives to establish the characteristic industrial system that is supported by industrial economy, dominated by trade service industry and eco-tourism industry, and based on pure land healthy industry, aquaculture and dairy industry.
