On the morning of November 5, the 15th China Tibet Mountaineering Assembly was kicked off at the Yambajan mountain training base of Damxung County, Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region. More than 300 climbers, cyclists, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts attended the opening ceremony.

A lot of activities including mountain climbing, skiing, cycling race and so on will be held. Besides, people can not only learn basic knowledge on climbing and skiing, but also enhance awareness of environmental protection.

The Sports Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region positively develops outdoor sports resources, cultivates outdoor sports markets, and serves economic growth and social progress, with the aim of creating the China Tibet Mountaineering Assembly as unique sports brand and forging it as high-end platform for the development of domestic sports industry.
