Recently, the 2018 Lhasa tourism work conference was held in the meeting room of Lhasa Tourism Development Committee, summarizing the tourism work in 2017, conveying the spirit of national tourism work conference, and deploying main tourism work in 2018.

In 2017, Lhasa received 16.06 million tourists from home and abroad, a year on year increase of 17%. The tourism revenue reached 22.7 billion yuan, a year on year increase of 21%. 4 scenic spots in grade A and 8 star-rated hotels were newly added.

The proportion of tourism economy in Lhasa City's total economy continues to grow, and the strength of the pillar industry is more obvious.
