Recently, the Tibet tourism commodity competition has been held in Lhasa City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Enterprises, organizations as well as people related to the tourism commodity industry take part in the competition to promote the healthy development of the industry.

In recent years, a large number of enterprises have focused on the development and production of tourism commodities to promote the traditional Tibetan culture and satisfy shopping need of tourists. Besides, through this competition, Tibet can cooperate with enterprises in Sichuan and Yunnan Province to speed up the research, production and marketing of tourism commodities.

Developing tourism commodities is conducive to promoting economic structural adjustments, employment and enriching the people. In addition, the competition provides a platform encouraging entrepreneurs to develop better commodities.

Broad market prospects will be found, and enterprises and entrepreneurs will make clear the development direction through the display and evaluation of commodities. At the same time, entrepreneurs are encouraged to solve a series of problems related to the development of commodities through study and exchange, says Ji Yue, the Tibet Tourism Development Board's deputy director.

It is reported that the competition has been successfully held for six times so far, which has set up an important platform for the development, production and sales of tourism commodities in Tibet. Enterprises make full use of tourism resources and products to promote the development of the industrial chain of tourism commodity industry in Tibet, and provide a solid base for "The Belt and Road".
