A new tour line--Lhasa North Ring Line is expected to be built in 2019, according to the Development and Reform Commission of Lhasa, the capital city of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
Lhasa will also accelerate the supply-side structural reform and encourage the integrated development of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in its capital.
With the launch of “Lhasa North Ring Line” initiative, Lhasa will further advance its promotion of cultural, rural and smart tourism. Construction of some scenic spots will speed up. Moreover, Lhasa will undertake a number of integration projects of culture and tourism, including Thangka Art Institute, Museum of Buddhist scriptures and others. Thus local supply capability of tourist products will be enhanced and sales channels will be standardized.
In 2019, Lhasa is expected to achieve an increase of 15 percent in the number of tourists and 20 percent in tourism revenue; its rural tourism revenue is estimated to reach 820 million yuan RMB, too.
