"The art performance is excellent. This is my second time travelling to Nyingchi. The peach blossoms are more gorgeous year by year." says Mr. Li, a visitor from Chengdu of Sichuan Province. His family also shows that the tour to Nyingchi is worthwhile.

The opening ceremony of 17th Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival kicked off in Gala Village of Bayi District, Nyingchi City of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on Mar. 29. Gala Village boasts more than 1,300 peach trees in full blossom on over 33.33 hectares (500 mu) of mountains and plains, among which tourists can enjoy this picturesque scenery. Benefiting from thriving rural tourism, Gala Village, a former traditional agricultural village, turns into a tourist attraction.

The 17th Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival lasts from Mar.15 to Apr. 30. Starting from Gala Village, tourists could enjoy the blooming rape flowers and peach flowers that blend into the surrounding landscape featuring snow mountains and forests along No. 318 national highway. The flowering periods of peach blossoms are not the same in different places of Nyingchi. Peach blossoms in Gala Village enter the flowering period at first, then Zayul County, Bayi District, Menling County, Pome County and Kongpo Gyamda County follow. 

In addition to Gala Village, Lunam and other 6 counties held various festival activities, too.
