According to the Tourism Development Bureau of Lhasa City, the city's tourism market was running safely and steadily in the first quarter, with a large increase in tourism reception. It received 1.07 million domestic and foreign tourists, up 16.89% year-on-year, and the tourism revenue reached 1.478 billion yuan RMB, up 22.45% year-on-year.

This year, Lhasa will spare no efforts to create a new tourism name card of "loop line of northern Lhasa", accelerate the construction of scenic spots such as Damxung County's Namtso, Tohlung Dechen District's Shangshung Metog, Maizhokunggar County's Sijinlacuo and other spots, and complete the upgrading and reconstruction project of Dagze County's Tayerpa tourism area.

The "loop line of northern Lhasa" refers to the golden landscape line along northern Lhasa. Scenic spots along the line include Junpa Fishing Village, Nyemo County's Tonba Town, Namtso, Reting Monastery, Tayerpa Monastery, Lhundrup County, Sijinlacuo and so on.

The "loop line of northern Lhasa" consists of one main line, two secondary lines and four sub lines. In 2018, apart from increasing publicity and promotion efforts of the Tourism Development Bureau of Lhasa City, travel agencies have also actively upgraded and expanded their tourism products, so that the tourist route along northern Lhasa has basically taken shape.
