With an altitude of 3,100 meters, Niwu Town is located in Lhari County of Nagqu City, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. As it is in the Yi'ong Zangbo Canyon, it boasts a high level of oxygen, plenty of rainfall and flourish vegetation. It is also called "the Jiangnan of North Xizang" and "a natural oxygen bar".
Every April, Niwu hosts peach blossom festival.
This year's festival started on April 2 and lasted for three days. Making full use of local natural resources, it featured traditional performances and displays by integrating wild peach blossoms, sightseeing, entertainment, food and shopping.
The activities also included special products fair, in which various of local products were on display, accelerating the promotion of agricultural products and expanding local brands' influence. It had played an important role in strengthening rural collective economy and advancing industrial development in an order way.
