Every May marks the prime climbing window for Mount Qomolangma, the world's highest peak. This year's climbing season has drawn a 28-member Chinese team and nine international expeditions from 18 countries, including Nepal, the United States, and Switzerland. The Qomolangma Base Camp will once again become an "international village" of climbers. Currently, the advance team has already left Lhasa to commence camp preparation work.
